On the eve of the National Day, ACFTU held a reception in Beijing, extending warm welcome to Hong Kong and Macao trade union delegations for National Day celebrations in Beijing.

        Xu Zhenhuan, ACFTU’s Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the Chinese Workers’ Exchange Center, attended the reception and delivered a speech. As he expressed, he hopes that the exchange and co-operation between trade unions and laboring circles of the Chinese mainland and those of Hong Kong and Macao should be continually strengthened to strive for China’s prosperity and strength with concerted efforts.

        Wu Qiubei, Director-general of Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions, and He Xueqing, Chairperson of Macao Federation of Trade Unions, delivered speeches separately, offering to work hard for continuously carrying out the principle of “One Country Two Systems” and the Basic Law and maintaining the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao.
